Se trata de un tráfico fundamentalmente en contenedor y de importación y está concentrado en frutas tropicales provenientes, en sumayor parte, de Brasil, Costa Rica y Colombia. Servicios La terminal decontenedoresdel puertodeVigo, TERMAVI, liderael tráficoreefer en todo el norte del país y cuenta con la ventaja que supone disponer de unas renovadas instalaciones de inspecciónfísica y tramitación aduanera y sanitaria anexas a la terminal. Las razonesdeestaproyecciónde tráfico refrigeradose fundamentan, por una parte, en la dotación de infraestructuras de que dispone el Puerto de Vigo; así como en la capacidad de almacenamiento frigorífico y capacidad global de congelación históricamente existente, asociada a la presencia en su hinterland de las principalesmultinacionales del sector de la pesca. Por otra parte, el inicio de proyecto de construccióndel apartadero ferroviario en la líneaque conecta el PuertodeVigo con suPlataforma Logística, PLISAN, situada a solo 35 kmdel puerto, supondrá un alicientemásparael desarrollodeesteespacioqueempiezaacongregar importantes empresas relacionadas con el sector de refrigerado y congelado.
