Las exportaciones, mayoritariamente plátano, se producen a la Península, Reino Unido, Países Bajos, Bélgica, Portugal e Italia y las importaciones provienende laPenínsula, Sudáfrica, ReinoUnidoyChipre, entre otros. Servicios La logística del frío en el Puerto de Las Palmas está experimentando una importante renovación gracias a varios proyectos. Los servicios están especializados, principalmente, en el almacenamiento a granel, de tal forma que el puerto hace, en el caso de importaciones de primer depot insular e interinsular, para distribución a sub-almacenes comarcales fuera del puerto; y, en el caso de exportaciones (principalmente plátano, tomate y pepino), hace de agrupamiento de envíos de distintas cooperativas o almacenes de empaquetado, previo a embarque. Lastresterminalesdecontenedores:OPCSA(TIL-grupoMSC), LaLuzTC(Boluda) yGesport Atlantic tienenun abundante parque de conexiones reefer para el depósito de este tipo de equipos. Además, otras terminales de cargas rodantes, como Fred. Olsen – Baleària oNaviera Armas-Trasmediterránea, también disponen de zonas de conexiónpara remolques reefer. De última creación son los almacenes de Frioluz Coldstore. Esta sociedadnace en 2021delaunióndelosdosfrigoríficosmás importantesdelPuertodeLasPalmas,FrigoluzySpanishPelagic.Estecomplejodisponedeunaparcelade14.000metroscuadrados y66.000metroscúbicosdealmacenamientofrigoríficobi-témperaapiedemuelle,donde sededica,prioritariamente, alalquilerdefríoindustrial, almacenandotodotipodeperecederos, tantomercancíacongelada, refrigeradayconvencionalefectuandosulogística. El puerto isleño tiene un PCF con un total de 4.750 metros cuadrados de instalaciones con 10 muelles de carga, 1.800 metros cuadrados de zona operativa de inspección y 566metros cuadrados de zona administrativa. Thiscomplexhas aplotof14,000squaremetersand66,000cubicmetersofbi-témperarefrigeratedstorage right at theport,where itdedicates, primarily, tothe rental of industrial reefer storage, storing all types of perishables, both frozenand refrigerated aswell as conventional merchandise, carryingout itscorrespondinglogistics.
