Sin embargo, el country manager de Höegh Autoliners Spain, Iñaki Echevarría, señala que, desde el punto de vista del embarque en buques, “el mercado del project cargo está mal tanto en España como a nivel global”, ya que “tenemos un serio problema de capacidad en los tráficos oceánicos a nivel global. Como podéis imaginar si se están embarcando coches dentro de contenedores y sobre plataformas especiales en buques break bulk, es debido a una significativa falta de capacidad en la flota oceánica Ro-Ro, y los coches son nuestra base. Por tanto, si no tenemos sitio para ellos, para carga de proyectos lamentablementemenos. Es cierto que todavía hay algunas cubiertas no ‘reconvertibles’ a espacio para automóviles y que por tanto todavía aceptamos carga de proyecto, pero los volúmenes sonmuy limitados comparados con lo que veníamos haciendo hasta la segunda mitad del año pasado”.
