La nueva terminal, de 63.000 metros cuadrados, estará ubicada entre el Muelle de Poniente y el Muelle del Espigón del Turia. Baleària y Global Ports Holding han presentado la única oferta y el proyecto contempla una inversión privada de 37millones de euros, con unos tráficos anuales de 370.000 pasajeros en los primeros cinco años de explotación. El proyecto incluye un Centro de Innovación y Ecoeficiencia y un espacio para la dinamización cultural. La estación funcionará con cero emisiones contaminantes y apostará por la economía circular.
