CARGAS PROYECTO - PROJECT CARGO 2023 84 ALTIUS COMPLETA EL TRANSPORTE MULTIMODAL DE 10 MOTORES DESDE ARGENTINA A BOLIVIA Altius completó el transporte multimodal de 10 motores (9.900x4.450x4.450mm y 115 toneladas cada uno), desde el puerto de Zarate, en Argentina, hasta la nueva planta siderúrgica de Mutún, en Bolivia. Los motores se entregaron en el puerto de transbordo de la Terminal de Zarate y los mafis cargados con las unidades pesadas (motores) fueron descargados del buque transoceánico y trasladado a segunda zona. A continuación, se cargaron en cuatro barcazas utilizando dos grúas de tierra. Después, los motores fueron amarrados y asegurados a bordo de las cuatro barcazas, antes de ser transportados por vía fluvial a través de las hidrovías Paraná y Paraguay hasta la terminal portuaria de Jennefer. Tras la recepción de los motores en la Terminal Portuaria de Jennefer, en Bolivia, los motores se descargaron de las barcazas, utilizando dos grúas de 450 y 500 toneladas de capacidad, respectivamente, sobre remolques hidráulicos, y se transportaron a la zona de almacenamiento, donde se colocaron sobre “stools” o ”patas de elefante”. Para el transporte final por carretera de los motores desde el puerto de Jennefer hasta la planta del Mutún, situada a 35 km del puerto, fue necesario acondicionar la carretera, incluyendo la nivelación de zonas difíciles y la poda de árboles (el 80% de la carretera está sin asfaltar). ALTIUS COMPLETED A CHALLENGING MULTIMODAL TRANSPORT OPERATION OF 10 ENGINES FROM ARGENTINA TO BOLIVIA Altius completed a challenging multimodal transport operation of 10 engines (9.900x4.450x4.450mm and 115 tons each), from the port of Zarate in Argentina to Mutun new steel plant in Bolivia. The engines were delivered at the transshipment port of Zarate’s Terminal and unloaded to ground from oceanic vessel by rolling the MAFI that carried the engines out of roro vessel. They were then loaded onto four barges using two ground cranes. The engines were then lashed and secured on board of four barges prior to their river transportation through Parana and Paraguay waterways, to Jennefer Terminal Port. After thereceptionof theenginesat theTerminal Port Jennefer in Bolivia, the engines were unloaded from the barges, using two cranes of 450 and 500 ton capacity respectively, onto hydraulic trailers, and transported to the storage area where they were placed on stools. The conditioning of the road, including leveling of difficult areas and pruning of trees (80% of the road is unpaved) was necesary for the final road transportation of the engines from Jennefer Port to theMutun Plant, located 35 km away from the port. Operations were carried out in perfect conditions.
