Puertos - Ports 81 The Port of Motril is once again attending Fruit Logistica, the largest fruit and vegetable fair in the world, held in Berlin. The participation of the Granada port will serve to support producers in the marketing and distribution of their products, as well as presenting its logistics potential within the framework of its partnership with the Andalusian Cooperative Association (FAECA). The Port of Motril also wishes to highlight its privileged position near North Africa and the centre of Spain and Europe for goods traffic. SERVICES AND PROJECTS The Port of Motril’s inspection facilities are used to check products of animal origin not destined to human consumption, products of non-animal origin destined to human consumption and products subject to special protection measures. These are known as phytosanitary border inspection post, authorised customs area and designated point of import. The facilities are located on a site in the Logistics Activities Area. The building is located parallel to the main road to facilitate the movement of lorries. The building’s main function is for health control of products of non-animal origin, although it also has other administrative functions unrelated to product inspection. PORT OF MOTRIL
