De hecho, no se debe obviar que los esfuerzos de las AutoridadesPortuarias por impulsar la sostenibilidad y la eco-proactividad en sus instalaciones y en los tráficos de buques de cruceros son elementos clave del Marco Estratégico del sistema portuario, con lo que las autoridades portuarias no hablan de buenas intenciones en sus planes de empresas, sino de proyectos reales conmetas a alcanzar. En este sentido, los puertos españoles impulsan, desde hace años, el uso de las energías alternativas en el transporte marítimo, con el OPS para el suministro de energía eléctrica a buques atracados a la cabeza de las iniciativas. Actualmente, el Puerto de Cádiz ya ofrece este servicio al segmento de la actividad crucerística (se inauguró en marzo) y, en breve, serán más las autoridades portuarias que puedan conectar a la luz los cruceros que atraquen en sus instalaciones.
