Cuenta con un edificio terminal dotado de instalaciones para las fuerzas de seguridad y para el control de pasajeros, así como una tienda. En situaciones de varias escalas en un mismo día, se utiliza el muelle de Calvo Sotelo Sur, con una terminal móvil, e incluso otros muelles comerciales si resultase necesario. NAVIERAS QUE OPERAN ACTUALMENTE EN EL PUERTO Prácticamente todas las navieras que operan en Europa recalan en ACoruña. P&O, MSC, Royal Caribbean, Costa, AIDA, Saga, FredOlsen, Holland America, TUI, Celebrity, Oceania, etcétera. Recientemente se sumaron Virgin y Disney, que ya se han hecho habituales en el puerto. PRINCIPALES NOVEDADES QUE PRESENTARÁ EN SEATRADE CRUISE GLOBAL 2026 LaAutoridadPortuaria acudirá a SeatradeGlobal acompañada de la empresa concesionaria de la terminal de pasajeros (Corunna Cruise Terminal) y presentará novedades significativas. Se ha adjudicado la gestión y explotacióndel OPS, con la previsiónde que entre en funcionamiento en 2027, tanto en el muelle de Trasatlánticos como en Calvo Sotelo sur. Según explica el enclave, ACoruña será posiblemente el segundo puerto de España en ofrecer este servicio a los cruceros, mejorando su atractivo para las navieras. Además, en febrero se inauguró el Museo del Dépor que se suma a la oferta de ocio. Finalmente, hay que destacar que A Coruña será una de las ciudades donde se podrá ver en su totalidad el eclipse total del 12 de agosto. De hecho, entre el 11 y el 12 de agosto el puerto recibirá 9 cruceros por este motivo. INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGNED TO HANDLE CRUISE SHIP TRAFFIC The Port of A Coruña has a pier dedicated to cruise ship traffic, the Transatlantic Pier, which is 491 meters long and has a draft of 11 meters, allowing it to accommodate the largest international vessels. The management and operation of the OPS have been awarded, with plans for it to begin operations in 2027 at both the Transatlantic Pier and Calvo Sotelo South. According to the port authority, A Coruña will likely be the second port in Spain to offer this service to cruise ships, enhancing its appeal to shipping companies. Additionally, the Museo del Dépor opened in February, further expanding the city’s leisure offerings. Finally, it is worth noting that A Coruña will be one of the cities where the total solar eclipse on August 12 will be fully visible. INFRAESTRUCTURAS PENSADAS PARA ATENDER EL TRÁFICO DE CRUCEROS Tanto el Muelle del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús de Tarifa como el Dique Norte y el Muelle de Isla Verde Interior en Algeciras se están dotando con tecnología OPS para permitir a los cruceros conectarse a la red eléctrica cuando están en puerto, reduciendo emisiones y ruidos, iniciativas englobadas en la Estrategia Verde de la APBA. PRINCIPALES NOVEDADES QUE PRESENTARÁ EN SEATRADE CRUISE GLOBAL 2026 La principal novedad radica en el eclipse total de sol del 2 de agosto de 2027 que los cruceristas podrán disfrutar desde el Estrecho, integrado en la franja de totalidad del eclipse total de sol que recorrerá el Estrecho de Gibraltar de Oeste a Este. Además, la institución portuaria acude a Miami para promocionar los puertos de Algeciras y Tarifa, así como las instalaciones portuarias para yates de ultralujo de La Línea (AlcaidesaMarina) como localizaciones de escala enunmercado ávido por ofertar nuevos destinos y experiencias a sus clientes. La APBA mantendrá encuentros de trabajo con navieras que ya han mostrado su interés por escalar con cruceros y yates de ultralujo, no solo por su ubicación privilegiada en el Estrecho de Gibraltar, sino por su singular oferta turística aún por descubrir para este sector. La posibilidad de visitar 2 continentes en un solo día, avistar cetáceos y aves migratorias, jugar al golf en los mejores campos de mundo, practicar windsurf, wingfoil o kite en las playas de arena blancamás ventosas de Europa o el microclima y riqueza botánica del Bosque de Niebla del Parque Natural de los Alcornocales.
