DE PUERTA A PUERTA - DOOR TO DOOR 99 PEREZ Y CÍA TRANSPORTA CINCO SETS DE REELS DESDE MALASIA A CHINA Pérez y Cía ha sido la empresa adjudicataria encargada del transporte de cinco reels de 120 toneladas cada uno, desde el puerto de Tanjung (Lagsat, Malasia) al puerto de Chiwan (China). Para la operativa de carga se necesitaron barcos con medios propios de alta capacidad, necesarios no sólo por las 120 toneladas que pesaban cada unidad, sino para salvar la distancia en el dique del puerto de destino de aproximadamente 12 metros con respecto al cantil del muelle. Para los trabajos de trinca y soldadura, trabajaron dos retenes de estibadores durante 48 horas, con el fin de salvaguardar cualquier riesgo de corrimiento de la carga. “La travesía marítima fue monitorizada en todo momento por sofisticados medios técnicos meteorológicos, debido a que, teniendo el centro de gravedad tan alto, cualquier golpe de mar pone en riesgo a la carga y al propio barco”, explica Jorge Sieiro, director de Proyectos de Pérez y Cía. Finalmente, se descargó toda la mercancía sin daños, en el laycan acordado, y con una satisfacción plena tanto por cargador/embarcador y receptor. Ships with their own high-capacity means were needed for the loading operation, not only because of the 120 tonnes that each unit weighed, but also to bridge the distance of approximately 12 metres from the quayside to the ship at the port of destination. Two stevedoring teams worked for 48 hours on the lashing and welding work to ensure the cargo did not shift during the voyage. ”The sea crossing was monitored at all times by sophisticated meteorological equipment, due to the fact that, with such a high centre of gravity, any bad weather at sea could have put the cargo and the ship at risk”, explained Jorge Sieiro, Project Manager at Pérez y Cía. Finally, all the goods were unloaded without damage, in the agreed laytime, to the complete satisfaction of the shipper and receiver.
