Puertos - Ports 89 Valenciaport is committed to its role as a logistics hub for companies in the reefer industry, thanks to the hundred or so regular services it offers around the world for perishable goods traffic, facilitating access to many more markets, reducing costs and making these companies more competitive. The Port of Valencia enjoys a strategic position in the Mediterranean, ranking 20th on the list of the world’s best connected ports, 4th in Europe and 1st in Spain. This is a vital aspect that facilitates international trade for the companies in its hinterland. FACTS AND FIGURES In 2021, the port facilities of Valencia, Sagunto and Gandia imported and exported over 200,000 TEUs of agri-food and meat products. The Port of Valencia mainly exports pork, vegetables, beef, and citrus fruit. China, the United States, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, and Saudi Arabia are the main destinations for Valencian and Spanish agri-food products. SERVICES AND PROJECTS The Port of Valencia has a total of 3,250 reefer connections. The CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal (COSCO) has 1,500 reefer connections, APM Terminals Valencia (Maersk) has 750, while MSC Terminal Valencia has 1,000 connections for refrigerated cargo. Valenciaport is promoting refrigerated goods traffic, as it is a key sector for many Spanish companies that use the Valencian port facilities to import and export their goods. The Port Authority of Valencia’s (PAV) Sales and Business Development department showcases the services and operations offered by Valenciaport to exporters and importers at the main trade fairs. The PAV attends Cool Logistics, an event that brings together the main players in the perishable cargo logistics industry. It also showcases its services at Fruit Attraction, the most important trade fair for the fruit and vegetable industry, and at Conxemar, an event focused on fishing and aquaculture. PORT OF VALENCIA
