Este camino no se circunscribe a la operativa de los buques y a sus estancias en puerto, sino que también contempla iniciativas para reducir el impacto en los destinos en los que atracan. JUAN CARLOS PALAU VALENCIA. El informe de CLIA (Asociación Internacional de Líneas de Cruceros) acerca del estado del sector en 2025 apunta a avances en tecnología, infraestructura y operaciones. En el primero de los aspectos, la organizacióndestaca los nuevos motores y las tecnologías de propulsión. Por lo que respecta a la infraestructura, se centra en el suministro de nuevos combustibles y en la capacidad de suministro eléctrico en el lado tierra y, finalmente, con respecto a la operativa menciona asuntos como la digitalización, la reducción de deshechos y cargas de energía y una planificación de rutas e itinerarios optimizadas. De este modo, CLIA apunta que las navieras de cruceros están trabajando en reducir las emisiones en el muelle y en el mar, invirtiendo en tecnologías sostenibles a bordo y asociándose con las ciudades y los puertos en un turismo responsable. Con respecto al primero de los asuntos, el informe de la asociación destaca que hay un total de 33 puertos que tienen activo el sistema de Onshore Power Supply (OPS) en al menos uno de susmuelles, 24 puertos ya han destinado financiación para la instalación de este sistema y 18 están en proyecto o considerándolo.
