Así lo confirma Fernando Pacheco, director general deMSC Cruceros en España, quien subraya que este aumento “responde a una demanda creciente de viajeros”. LOLI DOLZ VALENCIA. A sus puertos habituales (Barcelona, Tarragona, Valencia, Alicante, Palma de Mallorca y Málaga) este año la naviera sumará a los puertos de Canarias Santa Cruz de Tenerife y Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, “donde volvimos a operar en la temporada 2024-2025 con muy buena acogida por parte del público nacional e internacional. Además, en el invierno 2025-2026 abriremos un nuevo puerto de embarque en Lanzarote”, detalla Pacheco. Además de estos nueve puertos de embarque, “también contaremos con 18 puertos de escala en todo el país. Este crecimiento responde a una demanda creciente de viajeros, tanto españoles como internacionales, que buscan opciones de viaje cómodas, flexibles y llenas de experiencias en nuestro país”. Respecto a itinerarios, en la temporada de verano, MSC ha reforzado su presencia con ocho barcos operando desde puertos clave del Mediterráneo español, como Barcelona, Palma, Valencia, Málaga, Tarragona y Alicante. “Gracias a esta operativa, ayudamos a posicionar destinos como Tarragona, Málaga o Valencia ante el público internacional, impulsando así el turismo y la visibilidad global de estas ciudades”, asevera el director general. Proyectos Este año, Valencia y Barcelona son especialmente importantes para MSC Cruceros. “En 2025 celebraremos 20 años de operaciones en Valencia, y lo haremos con una oferta reforzada: dos barcos con salidas semanales durante el verano (el “MSC Splendida” y el “MSC Grandiosa”, uno de los buques de la claseMeraviglia) y, en invierno, por segundo año consecutivo, mantendremos una salida semanal desde este puerto (con el “MSC Orchestra”)”, detalla Pacheco. Mientras, recuerda, en Barcelona, “acabamos de abrir una nueva terminal espectacular, diseñada por el estudio de Ricardo Bofill. Es una apuesta clara por la ciudad y por ofrecer una experiencia más fluida, cómoda y sostenible desde tierra. Esta instalaciónmoderna y eficiente no solo refuerza nuestro compromiso con Barcelona como puerto estratégico, sino que también será pionera en sostenibilidad, ya que será la primera terminal con conexión OPS (suministro de energía en tierra) del Port de Barcelona en 2027”. Por último, Pacheco destaca que están en plena expansión, tanto en flota como en proyectos. “Recientemente presentamos el ‘MSC World America’ , nuestro nuevo buque insignia y el tercer barco de la compañía propulsado por GNL; y, en 2026, llegará el ‘MSC World Asia’, con salidas semanales desde Barcelona a partir de diciembre.
