Compañías como Atlas Ocean Voyages, Oceania Cruises o Regent Seven Seas han confirmado escala para los próximos ejercicios fruto de las actividades vinculadas a la campaña “Slow Moments” que se promociona en los b2b mantenidos con los itinerary planningmanagers de este tipo de compañías que valoran la enorme riqueza cultural y patrimonial de nuestro territorio. Además, el Puerto presentará sus dos muelles dedicados que dan servicio al buque y sus pasajeros; y el destino, la variada oferta gastronómica y de proximidad que ofrecen restauradores de la provincia, además de experiencias enbodegas que incluyen la vendimia. The objective of the Port of Castellon at Seatrade Europe is to integrate the city and the province’s destinations into the Mediterranean routes of cruise companies that offer unique experiences to their passengers. Companies such as Atlas Ocean Voyages, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas have confirmed calls for the coming years as a result of the activities linked to the “Slow Moments” campaign which is being promoted in the B2B meetings held with the itinerary planning managers of these types of companies who value the enormous cultural and heritage wealth of our province. In addition, the Port will be showcasing its two dedicated docks that provide services to cruise ships and their passengers; and the destination, the varied gastronomy and local cuisine offered by restaurants in the province, as well as experiences in wineries that include grape harvesting. Por un lado, promocionar las instalaciones y servicios del Puerto en este tráfico en concreto y, por otro, mantener contacto directo con los principales agentes del sector que se dan cita en estos encuentros. En el caso concreto de Seatrade y los cruceros, la APBC espera reforzar su posicionamiento como puerto de embarque y desembarque de pasajeros de cruceros a nivel internacional y seguir avanzando también en su objetivo de convertirse en puerto base, además de consolidar su posición en la clase premium o deluxe, donde ocupa un destacado papel. WHY IS THE PORT AUTHORITY ATTENDING SEATRADE EUROPE 2023? The Port Authority of Cadiz (APBC) participates in Seatrade with two main goals in mind. Firstly, to promote the Port’s facilities and services in this specific traffic segment and, secondly, to maintain direct contact with the industry’s main players who come together at these meetings. In the specific case of Seatrade and cruises, the APBC hopes to reinforce its position as an international cruise port and also to continue to make progress in its objective of becoming a home port, as well as consolidating its position in the premium and deluxe class, where it plays a prominent role. POR QUÉ ASISTE A SEATRADE EUROPE 2023 Cartagena es uno de los pocos puertos del Mediterráneo en poder acoger cinco buques de pasajeros en una misma escala. “La confianza y la seguridad generadas en las navieras es la clave de éxito para atraer nuevas compañías y que sigan repitiendo, apostando por Cartagena como escala de sus nuevos buques. También podemos recibir a los cruceros más grandes del mundo, como el ‘Wonder of the Sea’, que visitó la ciudad en dos ocasiones en 2022”, explica el Puerto. Cartagena recibe buques de crucero todos los meses del año. Además, “contamos con un muelle a pie de ciudad, con unos servicios de calidad y eficientes, y con una gran oferta turística que abarca el turismo cultural, arqueológico, gastronómico o de naturaleza”. Cartagena is one of the few ports in the Mediterranean to be able to accommodate five passenger ships at the same time. “The trust and reliability generated in the shipping companies is the key to success in attracting new cruise lines and to keep them coming back, committing to Cartagena as a port of call for their new ships. We can also welcome the world’s largest cruise ships, such as the Wonder of the Sea, which visited the city twice in 2022”. Cartagena welcomes cruise ships all year round. In addition, “we have a quay at the heart of the city, with efficient, high-quality services, and a wide range of tourist attractions, including cultural, archaeological, gastronomic and nature tourism”.
