The Port has three quays to handle cruise ship traffic. Likewise, the terminal operated by Trasmed also welcomes this type of vessels. CRUISE LINES OPERATING AT THE PORT All types of cruise ships call at Valencia, from large companies in the ”contemporary” segment, that is, the most familyoriented and with major attractions on board, such as MSC, Costa, Royal Caribbean, TUI, AIDA and P&O; to the companies in the ”premium” segment, such as Grand Circle, Viking, Regent, Seabourn, Silversea and Seacloud, to name but a few. MAIN DEVELOPMENTS SHOWCASED AT SEATRADE CRUISE GLOBAL The Port of Valencia will be presenting its new International Passenger Terminal, which will become a reality in 2024. The new 63,000 square meter terminal will be located between the Poniente Quay and the Turia Jetty Quay. Baleària and Global Ports Holding have submitted the only bid and the project includes private-sector investment of €37 million, with annual traffic of 370,000 passengers in the first five years of operation. The project includes an Innovation and Eco-efficiency Center and a cultural center. The terminal will have zero polluting emissions and will be committed to the circular economy. THE MAIN ATTRACTIONS OF THIS DESTINATION ARE... The Port of Valencia is well connected to the city’s two main tourist attractions: the historic district and the City of Arts and Sciences. In addition, sea and beach lovers can stroll around the Marina of Valencia and enjoy the city’s Cabañal and Malvarrosa beaches. INFRASTRUCTURE FOR CRUISE SHIPS Cruise ship traffic in the Port of Vigo operates in a large pedestrian area located in the very centre of the city, framed by the 700-meter-long, 12-meter-deep Transatlantic Quay to the west. Vigo Cruise Terminal and Atlantic Vigo Cruise Terminal operate at the Alberto Durán Passenger Terminal. The “Tinglado del Puerto” cruise terminal lies to the east, on the Commerce Quay, with a berthing line of 300 meters.
