This project will begin with the construction of a marina at the Levante Quay, with 400 berths. This quay, with a surface area of 80,000 square meters, will housea cruise terminal, greenareas, cultural and leisure spaces, restaurants, shopping and business areas, and marine and sporting activities that cruise passengers will be able to enjoy. THE MAIN ATTRACTIONS OF THIS DESTINATION ARE... Cruise passengers can visit the Odiel Marshes Natural Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve. The Levante Quay is located next to the old mineral dock, the Rio Tinto Quay, an example of mid-19th century industrial engineering and the English legacy of the companies that worked the province’s mines. Other tourist attractions include recreations of the caravels that traveled to the New World and the monastery of La Rabida; visiting the planet Mars when exploring the Rio Tinto landscapes next to the Rio Tinto mines, feeling the magic of the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche and seeing why Doñana is one of Europe’s top nature reserves and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. INFRASTRUCTURE The Port of Las Palmas has five quays with a total of 1,823 meters of berthing line with depths ranging from 7 to 11 meters.
