The East Breakwater Extension Quay is intended for larger cruise ship traffic. It is 350 m long, has a depth of 16 m and 8,050 square meters for coach parking. The Levante Quay is located in the inner dock and has been renovated to provide services to smaller cruise ships, enabling two cruise ships of up to 160 meters in length each to call at the same berth. This quay gives cruise passengers pedestrian access to the leisure and recreational area in the city’s maritime district. MAIN DEVELOPMENTS SHOWCASED AT SEATRADE CRUISE GLOBAL Castellon provides shipping companies with a ”crew-friendly” port with a series of services offered to crew members and seafarers, including newly renovated facilities with wi-fi connection, a games room, computers and a reading room as well as free transfers to shore. This facility is staffed by volunteers from the Apostleship of the Sea and the NGO Stella Maris. It also provides all kinds of tourist information about the city and the province of Castellon. THE MAIN ATTRACTIONS OF THIS DESTINATION ARE... There are numerous excursions from the port that take cruise passengers to discover the best of the province, including the beaches and its mountainous hinterland. The history of different civilizations is introduced in these excursions that lead to destinations such as Peñiscola and Morella. Visitors can also discover the depths of the earth by navigating the longest subterranean river in Europe, exploring the interior of Castellon and its exquisite cuisine. In addition, Castellon has a network of GR, PR and SL walking trails, totaling over 1,200 kilometers. INFRASTRUCTURE The Port of Ceuta has a 416-meter-wide access channel with a depth of 14 meters. It has two cruise terminals at the Spain Quay and Poniente Quay. The first has a berthing line of 300 meters and a depth of nine meters. The second has two berthing areas of between 270 and 525 meters in length and a maximum depth of 10.5 meters. The Port Authority of Ceuta is a a member of MedCruise and CLIA. MAIN DEVELOPMENTS SHOWCASED AT SEATRADE CRUISE GLOBAL The new Ceuta Passenger Terminal is the major development to be showcased by the Port Authority at the fair. With an investment of just over €16.5 million, the new facility is located next to the existing passenger terminal. Both buildings will operate together as one single terminal. The terminal has been designed so that passenger flows are neatly divided so that there is no interaction between arrivals and departures. The building will have two floors. MAIN ATTRACTIONS One of the attractions of calling at the Port of Ceuta is its proximity to the city center. It offers a wide variety of services to cruise passengers, such as shuttle buses, security and a wide range of excursions, either by cab or organized coach tours conducted by experienced local operators and accompanied by multilingual guides.
