At domestic level, inflation continues to soar due to the continued rise in electricity, fuel and food prices. Initial estimates for 2022 point to an inflationary year, with a delay in the possible moderation of price increases until mid-2022. In addition, Spain’s GDP growth remains below the euro area average, with a cooling of growth forecasts for 2022. Nonetheless, in general terms, the unemployment rate continues to fall. Cold storage costs in France continue to rise due to record electricity prices, a situation that is being replicated in the United States. In contrast, Germany’s logistics situation remains stable and prices are below the levels of autumn 2021.
