75 CARGAS PROYECTO / PROJECT CARGO · 2025 CLDN TRANSPORTA UN TRANSFORMADOR DE 118 TONELADAS DE CÁCERES A PAÍSES BAJOS A principios de 2025, el equipo de Cargas de Proyecto de CLdN fue contactado por uno de sus clientes para transportar un transformador de 118 toneladas desde Malpartida de Plasencia (Cáceres - España), hasta Nijmegen (Países Bajos), para su prueba. Se implementó un plan cuidadosamente coordinado: el enorme transformador fue enviado desde Santander a Zeebrugge, donde fue transbordado a un buque con destino a Róterdam. Tras su llegada a la terminal Rozenburg de CLdN, en Róterdam, continuó su trayecto en barcaza hasta el centro de pruebas en Nijmegen. Aunque la prueba en sí dura solo unos minutos, la preparación puede llevar hasta cuatro semanas. Una vez finalizadas las pruebas, el transformador regresará en barcaza a Róterdam antes de ser enviado de vuelta a Santander por CLdN. Este viaje pone de manifiesto cómo algunas cargas recorren un trayecto largo y complejo antes de llegar a su destino final. CLDN TRANSPORTS A 118-TON TRANSFORMER FROM CÁCERES TO THE NETHERLANDS In early 2025, CLdN’s Project Cargo team was contacted by one of its customers to transport a 118-ton transformer from Malpartida de Plasencia (Cáceres - Spain) to Nijmegen (The Netherlands) for testing. A carefully coordinated plan was implemented: the huge transformer was shipped from Santander to Zeebrugge, where it was transshipped onto a vessel bound for Rotterdam. After its arrival at CLdN’s Rozenburg terminal in Rotterdam, it continued its journey by barge to the test center in Nijmegen. Although the test itself lasts only a few minutes, preparation can take up to four weeks. Once the tests are completed, the transformer will return by barge to Rotterdam before being shipped back to Santander by CLdN. This voyage highlights how some cargoes travel a long and complex journey before reaching their final destination. CLdN’s extensive network helps to fit the pieces of this logistical puzzle together, ensuring smooth and efficient transport. CLdN is proud to be part of this project.
